Back in the Seventies and Eighties I founded and ran several Fleet Street photo agencies specialising in stock images of celebrities from pop stars to politicians. These were syndicated to the National and International press and Television. These days I am active in the Microstock world and this blog charts my journey as well as, hopefully, providing inspiration and ideas to others. Image buyers should also find this blog useful with links to my portfolios and regular updates on new uploads. Unless otherwise stated all images are my copyright and may not be reproduced or copied. Comments are very welcome but will be reviewed before publication. Enjoy your visit. Regards, David.

Picturenation:

Delighted to report that British site http://www.picturenation.co.uk has finally made it back online today! I've already made my first upload and everything seems to be working fine. My images and commission are all still showing correctly as well. A lot of people were quick to write off this site when they first went offline, but I always remained confident that they would return. Now I have several months worth of images to get uploading. Regards, David

Hey David - Still same situation I talked to you about on MSG. No response from PN and no way to contact them. 5 accepted, but no way to upgrade to Pro. Any way you can help would be greatly appreciated. Carolyn

Hi Carolyn, should all be sorted by now. There was a glitch with email accounts which they fixed today. I contacted Jane-Louise Green (PN head) and she has emailed you (within a few minutes -that's good service).Regards, David

Any problems with PN lately?

I seem to have images moved from one album to another and some of those have "STATUS: MISSING - WAS LIVE" message below them. They are older photos that have been there for a couple of years. Actually not very interesting photos.. hope that doesn't happen to the new illustration approvals.

Hi David. I had 4 images which weren't showing but after emailing support they restored them within a couple of days. Today I did find another 4 with the same message you have -so have emailed support with the image numbers. I haven't had any switching between albums though (but I only have two albums: "Awaiting Approval" and "Online Portfolio"). Do email them with the image numbers and I'm sure they'll sort it. Let me know if there continues to be a problem. BTW they are now running a link to this blog on the PN site. I've warned them I'll have to post something really bad just to show that I'm not a PN front! Regards, David.

Ah well in that case i'll have to do the same and let PN know which images are effected.

I did notice you had the link on their site. Very Nice.

Maybe one day when i have a few sales on PN (thereby able to talk them up on my blog) i'll ask for my link to be added. If you don't ask, you don't get ;-)
